    Hello everyone, I am about embark on a journey into the HDTV world. Here in Germany I find only two recievers in ebay, the Humax 1000 and the Philips DRC 9001. Which is better? Or is there something better?

    Hard to say, both of them still have their bugs and problems... First, if you are interested in a cable receiver the answer is no, there is nothing better (else) than these. Second, you should check, if the cable provider in your place offers HD-channels at all. Can you read in german a bit? Try to read through this ...
