die Panasonic Boxen sind hervorragend, wenn man im Empfangsbereich von Astra 2D wohnt.

Die Spielregeln sind klar: Der Satellit Astra 2A muss am Diseqc-Relais zwingend auf Eingang 1 liegen. Die Sky Digibox kann dann diverse Free-to-Air Sender empfangen.

Die Sache mit den Freeview Cards ist Schnee von gestern. Im Hersbt gibt es neue Billig-Karten bzw. "Fast-geschenkt" Karten von Sky. Welche Spielregeln dafür gelten, ist noch unbekannt. Wer bei ebay eine C4 Karte ersteigert, wird meistens betrogen.

Die bei ebay billig gekaufte Sky Box ist grundsätzlich geeignet, eine englische Sky Viewing Card aufzunehmen. Dazu braucht man einen Freund in England, der das Abonnement abschliesst.

Marty sells a Sky Digibox with every new subscription. This has many reasons. It is much easier for him to handle the process if he also sells the box. It causes less suspicion if the box originates from Ireland (rather than from the UK). Finally, I think there are legal reasons, too. Marty sells hardware and not just subscriptions (which Sky would probably disapprove of).

If anybody is interested in a brand-new Sky subscription, I recommend Marty.

Second hand boxes from the UK are primarily of interest for people who have friends in the UK and do not need a professional re-seller.

Second hand boxes from the UK are also nice as a second device in the house, e.g. in the bedroom or the childrens' rooms.

You can remove the original Sky card from the primary system and insert it into the second box.

At present, the second box will decode all channels from Sky Family Entertainment package, excluding itv2. Please note that an Irish card does not offer itv2. However, an Irish card gives you exclusive access to RTE and other Irish channels, which are very good, indeed.

You cannot watch Sky Movies, NASN, Sky Sports or Arab or Hindu channels with a second box. Of course, you cannot use the two boxes at the same time.

The Sky offer for multi rooms requires a phone line.
