Let's try to get rid of the original software.

You said you've got a registered version of transbox and you've said you still have the original software betanova 1.2T installed.

So it is possible to update your Box through serial connection with Transbox (and only with Transbox).
Though we can forget the card questions.


I give you a step by step instruction for the update via serial connection with a registered Transbox version:

Download the file for Transbox DBox access -> Link
Download the latest DVB2000 Version -> Link

Install Transbox (Pro) or Transbox Edition an register it (install the registered version).
Extract the DBox access files an the latest DVB2000 Version into the Transbox install directory.
Unplug the power cable and make the serial connection from the DBox to the PC.

I will explain the procedure for Transbox 2.01 and Transbox Edition 2.03 for german language.

Transbox 2.01
- choose the button for the right com port (upper right)
- do not choose “quick”
- select “Bearbeiten”/”Software”/”Eintrag einfügen”
- click on the button right to the “Dateiname” field
- choose “DVB200~1.bin” – path/filename should appear under “Dateiname” now
- write “DVB2000” in the “Beschreibung” field – leave the “Offset” field alone
- click an “OK”
- in the mainwindow (near bottom) select “DVB2000“ under ”Software”
- check the check-box right to the “000000” right to ”Software”
- choose the ”d-Box” button (upper middle)
- right-click on “d-Box” button and select “Zugang per Datei”
- choose “nv13t.ser” or “nv13t202.ser” (try one first and if it doesn’t work try the other)
- click on the “Start” button
- plug in the power cable from the DBox and wait a few seconds until the display do not change anymore
- click on “Verbindung”
- after a few moments the button “Download” should be become clickable (if not try the other ser file (see above))
- click on ”Download” an wait until the transfer is finished (see “Fortschritt” at the bottom right)

Transbox Edition 2.03
- choose “serial” (upper left)
- do not choose “quick”
- select “Einstellungen”/”Serial”
- check the box for the right com port (upper right)
- do not check the “loading Highspeed” an leave the other settings alone
- select “Bearbeiten”/”Software”/”Eintrag einfügen”
- cklick on “OK“
- click on the button right to the “Dateiname” field
- choose “DVB2000 beta8 Original.bin” – path/filename should appear under “Dateiname” now
- write “DVB2000” in the “Beschreibung” field – leave the “Offset” field alone
- klick an “OK”
- in the mainwindow (near bottom) select “DVB2000“ under ”Software”
- check the check-box right to ”Software”
- choose the ”d-Box (Bx.xxpBD)” at the ”Gerät” selection (upper middle)
- right-click on the ”d-Box (Bx.xxpBD)” entry and select “Zugang per Datei (Auswahl *.ser Datei)”
- choose “nv13t.ser” or “nv13t202.ser” (try one first and if it doesn’t work try the other)
- click on the “Start” button
- plug in the power cable from the DBox and wait a few seconds until the display do not change anymore
- click on “Verbindung”
- after a few moments the button “Schreiben” should be become clickable (if not try the other ser file (see above))
- click on ”Schreiben” an wait until the transfer is finished (see “Fortschritt” at the bottom right)


If something does not work like described please write which step exactly it is and what happened instead (for example "I cannot select", "... does not appear"). For if you don't, this will go on and on.

hi thanks for clear and understanding information,, so i have done as you say ,, but in front the dvb show B2.02pBD and then a messege come from transbox
Serien-nummer und benutzerdaten berprufen ,,
also there is a fehler in something in com like,, Direkter IO-Zugrif auf COM-Port verweigert, serieller highsped-Modus wird abgeschaltet. then abbruch durch Anwenden

The way you're describing is very difficult for solving problems...

Which registered version of transbox do you use (name an version-number) ?

After which step appears the "Seriennummer und Benutzerdaten überprüfen"-message (for example after pressing the "Start"-Button ?) ?

After which step are the "Direkter IO-Zugrif auf COM-Port verweigert, serieller highsped-Modus wird abgeschaltet" & "Abbruch durch Anwender" appearing ?
What has the dbox display showed at that time ?
Did they appear after the "Seriennummer..." message or didn't the "Seriennummer..." appear again at the next try ?

After which step are the "Timeout in procedure: WaitFor..." & "Kein serieller Zugang" appearing ?
What has the dbox display showed at that time ?
Did they appear after the "Seriennummer...", "Direkter..." and/or "Abbruch..." messages or didn't these messages appear again at the next try ?

Does it make a difference if you try the “nv13t.ser” or “nv13t202.ser” or is the result the same with both ?


If the "Seriennummer und Benutzerdaten überprüfen" message still appears, then the tranmsboy registry/serial information is not ok - transbox is not registered properly an works as the demo version, which won't work for you. In this case you have to register transbox correctly first.

The version for transbox Edition is rev_: 2.0.3.0.6819 ser_no: 3471056
and then after pressing Start"-Button nothing happend also on d-box but there is in front a B2.02pBD then when pressing in 10 second the verbindung the messege come serien-nummer und benutzercaten uberprufen .i press ok then

i have alos thought that can my com is ok or not then i have wirh a small program from d-box namely tested
diagnose your Nokia Media Master or d-Box with serial commands.
Please switch your box into standby mode and click on connect
button. Now switch the box on. After approximately 10sec the serial
connect is established.
This program only works with running original Nokia software
D-Box Mini Diagnostic 2.0 no problem have conection ,,, i have also tryed both
NV13T.SER and NV13T202.SER ,, second time when i try to conect come other messege as discreib like no com conection

Sorry ich kann nicht so gut englisch.

Du musst mit ein BDM erstmal den Bootloader wechseln auf B2.00uns .
Dazu musst du den Jumper x06 Setzen um den Schreibschutz zu deaktivieren.

Mit dem B2.02pBD hat man kein Seriellen zugriff auf der Box.

Nach dem Bootloadertausch nicht vergessen den Jumper wieder zu entfernen.

Das ist falsch !!!

Mit B2.02pBD kann man seriellen Zugriff über das registrierte Programm Transbox bekommen, wenn nicht die aktuelle Software BN1.3(t) frauf ist. Und das ist bei mnadeem mit der BN1.2T der Fall.

this is correct

this only happens, if invalid register informations in transbox were entered. if this is the case you cannot get serial access to a d-box with original betanova BN software.
you have to reinstall transbox. then enter valid register informations in transbox.
