If your dish is fetching signal from neighbouring satellite with similar frequency it may degrade your reception on this freq. But it´s just an assumption

 

Something strange that made me think before questioning my equipment is that for example when on new TP, I put C5 UK as main picture and BBC1 as PIP, when there’s a pixelation/glitch happening to one channel, it doesn’t happen to the other!

Naturally, if it’s related to reception, shouldn’t both channels have pixelation at the same time?

 

can be, but not mandatory. Depends on FEC recovery.

 

Marty you are not alone, also others report the pixelling. I have checked the contribution path, and their is an issue for the new TP. The bandwidth in Paris is not sufficient+FEC. We have disabled backup feeds and then it looks to run smooth.

As far as I noticed, today was the third day with all the pixelations on new TP.

I noticed in the past 30min or so there weren’t any pixelations on UK channels, but wasn’t sure if something has changed!

Something has improved!
Picture quality of UK channels on new TP has noticeably improved! It has become more vivid and Full HD! Something I remember from Freeview/Freesat in UK!

Still in terms of SNR, to me it seems new TP is somewhere between 0.5-1.0 db weaker than 11526

How often did you have these pixelations? I saw a very quick glitch (1 second) some minutes after zapping on Channel 5 and ITV1...it was 7.15/7.30 pm...otherwise channels run smoothly...

Problem is that you only notice these optimisation related pixelations if you watch for more than 10min! Or have recordings.
Depending on the load of the encoder/TP/etc, pixelations were happening every few minutes but with no set timings.

I’m extremely disappointed that these pixelations are happening since Kabelio started with two TP operations, and yet after all these times there hasn’t been an effective in-house monitoring system to identify them before anyone reporting them!

I remember when I reported these a long time ago at the beginning of rolling out the second TP, no one was confirming those pixelation to the point that I changed my antenna/some equipment! Which ofc didn’t help anything and after a while it was announced that it was Kabelio’s fault!

I’m happy I didn’t go to further touch my antenna tomorrow considering the denials here!
