!!! Humfree Shutdown !!!

hallo alle zusammen

ich habe soeben erfahren das die seite www.humfree.de vom netz gehen musste weil humax ihr copyright geltend macht. hier eine kopie der mail an den betreiber der seite :

constitutes a demand that you immediately cease offering these links and
remove all such references from your website. Humax is the owner of numerous
copyrights and trademarks in its STB firmware. As the owner of such
copyrights, Humax has the exclusive right to authorize Humax STB firmware.
Your unauthorized activities with respect to linking to unauthorized copies
of Humax firmware constitutes contributory copyright and trademark
infringements. This letter constitutes a notice to you that your actions are
illegal and may subject you to criminal prosecution and civil liability. We
will be monitoring your website to see if you are in compliance with the law
and reserve the right to take all steps necessary to protect Humax
intellectual prophecy rights.

dear mr. lee

i have read the mail you sent to the owner of the website 'humfree' with ref to the copyright violations.

i do not think that shutting down this site is in the interest of humax. people like this are the people who gave humax the strength in the market they have today. only because of people like this a lot of people bought your products.

they supported your products and recommended it hundreds and thousand of times to friends and colleagues who in return recommended it.....etc etc.

it would be the same if mercedes benz would threaten or try to close amg or brabus because they are tuning their product.......but instead mercedes benz did the right move.....they bought amg.......

i hope you will rethink your position and come to an agreement with the owner of the website 'humfree' as i definetly think one should support people like this.

ich bin der meinung wir sollten uns alle für 'sat-fan' und seine gute arbeit einsetzen und mr. lee eine mail schicken. vielleicht erreichen wir nichts, aber nicht versucht ist gleich gar nichts.

ich von meiner seite möchte 'sat-fan' für seine arbeit danken.

sie geht seit heute morgen wieder.
sat_fan hat die firmware runtergenommen und durch patches ersetzt.....hihihi
