Von Kimi hab ich inzwischen die Rückmeldung, dass es einige verschiedene Varianten der Speicherung auf der HD des Receivers gibt (unterschiede im Filesystem je nach Softwareversion, unterschiedliche Ablagen auf der HD, etc), was eine Erweiterung des DVR Studios äußerst kompliziert macht und er vorerst kaum Zeit dafür hat. Speziell dafür werden wir sicher ne Weile warten müssen.

Bis dahin werd ich selbst auch mal probieren, wie ich mit den hier http://forum.digitalfernsehen.de/forum/showthread.php?t=57604 vorangegangen besprochenen Tools klarkomm.

My apologies for the complete lack of German.

If someone would like to make some samples of Opentel disks available via FTP or HTTP I'll 'tune' TwinRIP to suit them. 10-20Mb samples usually provide enought data to work with.

Welcome to this board, Ian. You already did a great job with TwinRip, creating the first tool working with our opentels. Thx a lot.
Ya need some files created with dump.exe for tuning ? No problem to send ya some by mail- but aint got any chance via FTP.
But I´ll have to zero-fill my hdd first,since format function of the opentel leaves big corrupted files on it, which aint useful for analysing. And I´m some sort of curious, ´cause until now, I figured the only difference between Pace and Opentel ist the blocksize of 4096.
Anyways, I´m glad, ya gonna think about the Opentels too-

Hi again

I've loaded an OpenTel aware version of one of the TwinRIP utilities to the group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TwinRIP/files/experimental/.

Its called dumpInfo-20041201b.exe, and should be able to list the programme entries from the disk, and possibly the actual file information too. If both these work I should be able to fully support OpenTel devices in the next TwinRIP release (and I'm sure David Brown will add support to TDU as well).

I'd obviously be grateful for a bit ot testing. To do this you'd need to plug your OpenTel hard disk into the PC as per the TwinRIP README and then run the following (the source at the end needs the right number, or can be a file image of the drive):

dumpInfo --opentel --partition 0 --skipEmpty \\.\PHYSICALDRIVE3

This should produce a recognisable list of programmes. Then try:

dumpInfo --files --partition 0 --skipEmpty \\.\PHYSICALDRIVE3

and you'll hopefully see more information. Less of this will be useful, but I would expect to see a filename that should match an entry from the programme listing.

I'd like to see a few of each listing if they could be posted to the TwinRIP group, back here or mailed to me.

A final thing to try (which may not work) is:

dumpInfo --output map.txt --mapOne 65834 --opentel --partition 0 \\.\PHYSICALDRIVE3

which may produce a single programme map file for use with TwinRIP (but you'd may need --partition 0 on TwinRIP, so add it as a special parameter if using TDU). It would be very excitiong if this worked.

Hi Ian, here we go with the results of the dump (I´ve shorten ´em a little,but sent ya the complete ones by mail) Seems a lot information provided , I added the myOpentel.txt and myFiles.txt for showing up the information provided outside the dos box. I´ve been surprised though ´bout files showing up in a different order, but I´m not too much into that dos stuff.
Therefore I´m really happy you take care about .-))

Hallo!
Ich habe eine "deppensichere" USB - Variante für meinen Opentech PVR 4000 gebastelt - ohne löten, das Gerät bleibt fast im Urzustand - werde eine Anleitung online stellen. Zur Vorabinfo: Es wird jeweils das Datenkabel und das Stromkabel der Festplatte (jeweils mit "Verlängerungskabeln") an die Geräteaussenseite geführt, und ein UBS 2 IDE - Adapter angesteckt. Funktioniert bei mir mit pvrread toll!
