Somehow I lost track here. What`s the real Problem? NTOTB, you need to make a search cause the BBC`s made a frequency move (short before FTA time started) and I don`t know if the frequency list is still up to date. The best thing is as littlelupo told you to make a manually search and if necessary do it the same way with PID etc. .

I posted my problem in the medion forum and wait for help there! but really as a last result (don`t give up too soon).
as littlelupo suggests it is probally the receiver.
I have 2 of these receivers, I bought in a package with dish and twin LNB for astra 19.2 where it functions perfectly. All though 28.2 is in the sat menu.
My idea now is to buy a new receiver, (which one I don`t know yet, shall have to look around) making sure that they say it receives 28.2.
when not then take it back for a refund and buy the next one "und so weiter",

lastly this is the first time in 5 years online that I have used a forum of any sort,
shall certainly not be the last time, again thanx for all the help
I`ll be back (probally with next receiver)

Most of the dealers here in Germany will tell you that they don't know exactly, I suppose. You will have to find out. On my satellite receiver, it works with software version 2.72p, but not really with software version 2.94y. With software version 2.94y, I could only receive the audio signal (most of the TV channels on ASTRA2/Eurobird), but had only a blue screen (no picture). Therefore I started this thread:

As you can see, I decided to go back to software version 2.72p (in the end).
The two facts, "faulty signal" and "Bit Errors = 0", bring me to the speculation: This is only a problem with the receiver's software.

@NBOTB,
why you don't buy a used Sky Digibox (preferably a Panasonic) from eBay? With your connections to UK it must be easy to get a Sky Freeview card for watching ITV 1/2 and Channel 4/5.

If I may correct your terminology, "Freeview" means UK terrestrial digital TV (with an antenna, not a dish).

The card required for a Sky Digibox is a "FTV" (Free To View) card. Bzw. Sky now call this service their "FreesatFromSky" (they are learning to join words the German way!)

So some people call them "Freesat" cards - but "Freesat" is a BBC registered trademark.

Alles klar?

By the way, I can not recommend a Panasonic Sky Digibox. These are having many problems at the moment. They have a software fault and also a problem with some LNBs. In my opinion, the Pace Sky boxes are better. Either the BSKYB2600 or the DS430N.

I forgot to mention: The boxes by "Topfield" are reported to be good for BBC etc.
