cinergy t2 works only after about 5min after pc startup

Hi, i have an asus notebook and my cinergy t2 correctly receive channels only after about 5 minutes from pc startup or from hibernation
It's like there is a lot of noise that goes away gradually.

i have TerraTec Home Cinema: 5.34.00.219
and bda driver: 2.3.0.26 (problem also with 2.3.0.24)

Hi Buzzbumm,

First, change to the latest THC Version 5.43 and try again.
"Noise" in the case of DVB-T is not possible, because it is a digital signal, which can be received or not.

i mean that the signal is very interrupted. Noise concept is applicable also for digital signals. In dvb-t if there is noise the image is interrupted or even doesn't exists.

it "doesn't" work in the first minutes...it's a software/driver/usb port problem because i remember that originally the card worked well with the same laptop (i bought the cinergy 2 years ago)

It might still be heat related. Is the box getting hot? Is it always 5 minutes and after that no further issues? What happens if you get a signal for 2-3 minutes then immediatly reboot and start the software, is the signal still ok?

No, the signal isn't ok. You have to wait again about 5 minutes. It's like something disturbs the data transfer in the usb port for the first minutes of pc startup and then goes away.
Isn't necessary to start the program. I wait 5-10 minutes after pc startup and then i start home cinema and it works correctly.

This phenomenon is not called "noise", there is nothing like "digital noise", any noise will come from the D/A conversion, perhaps you mean artefacts. You should distinguish any terrestrial effect from effects concerning the signal transfer within the pc (eg. usb port). If you have these effects any time you boot your computer, you will have to check what's the system doing in this period of time. Have a look in your tasks-list, check the autorun-section etc. There might be a very time consuming programme (indexer?) which does not leave enough proc-power for THC. Is the sound also interrupted? What happens if you do a recording (transport stream)?

Ok, you're right. Anyway i wanted to give an idea of the type of signal corruption i have . It's like to have a noisy antenna signal, but the problem is somewhere in the system. I will check your suggestions and will report more.
