Der philippinische Sender GMA Life TV ersetzte den Nachrichtensender NBN Pinoy News im arabischen Pay-TV-Paket Orbit auf Atlantic Bird 2 (8°West) - laut flysat auch FTA!
Kann das jemand bestätigen?

Ich befürchte allerdings, dass das bald wieder codiert ist. Scheint ein Telenovela-Soap-Lifestyle-Sender zu sein.

zur Zeit ist der Sender noch FTA. Scheint so´n Sender zu sein, wie Du schon beschrieben hast. Miserable Bildqualität 480x576 Px. ca. 2Mbit/s

Ich hab meine Schüssel auf 8°West gerichtet. Allerdings krieg ich keinen sauberen Empfang bei GMA Life. Klötzchenbildung. Ich benutze eine 45er-Schüssel mit der K3, Kabel D & CNN gut funzen. Mit meiner 65er sollte das normalerweise kein Problem sein, wenn da nicht der Baum im Weg stehen würde.

Über Sat gibt es GMA Life auch noch auf Telstar 10 & Arabsat - FTA. Auf Telstar 10 soll es schon seit Sendestart im Februar 2008 FTA sein.

Bald kann man die philippinischen Sender auf Orbit auch in Europa offiziell über Orbit beziehen (ich hoffe trotzdem, dass GMA Life FTA bleibt).

Orbit Communications Company, the leading PAY-TV Operator in the Middle East and North Africa and GMA NETWORK has three (3) reasons to celebrate, and only on the 3rd month of this year! In a joint company announcement held before the Philippine Media in Manila, Orbit Communications Chief Executive Officer Mr. Samir Abdulhadi and GMA Network’s Chairman Atty. Felipe L. Gozon disclosed what these were; FIRST Cheer: An Agreement has been reached between Orbit Communications and GMA NETWORK that will allow Filipinos in the European Continent to begin watching GMA’s programming on GMA PINOY TV exclusively thru the Orbit DTH (Pay TV) platform.
It is estimated that there are now close to a million Filipino expatriate workers and resident migrants in Europe, all of whom are excited to have a taste of GMA’s brand of TV programming and entertainment.
SECOND Cheer: Orbit and GMA NETWORK has also signed into a broadcast carriage agreement which shall see the launch of GMA’s 2nd International Channel in the MENA and European Region. To be called “GMA LIFE TV”, this new channel offering from both Orbit and GMA is in celebration of “LIFE as how it should be”, and shall showcase more Family and Female oriented programming. GMA LIFE TV is set for launch, initially in the Middle East by April 1st, 2008.
THIRD Cheer: The Broadcast Partnership between Orbit and GMA NETWORK has been extended until 2013. This mid-contract renewal is an indication of stability and a further strengthening of ties between both companies. “In line with Orbit’s MISSION of delivering exclusive relevant entertainment for the enjoyment of all subscribers, we are more than pleased to receive the GMA LIFE TV channel as a welcome addition to Orbit’s exclusive line-up of Filipino channels (part of the PINOY PLUS service).
This Agreement with GMA also gives notice of Orbit’s willingness to provide (and be of) service not only to Filipinos in the Middle East and North Africa but also in Europe” states Mr. Samir Abdulhadi – Orbit CEO.
“Orbit and GMA NETWORK share the same core values of Leadership, Credibility and Integrity, and Innovativeness in our products and services, and thus this match is best celebrated by an extending our relationships, working together until 2013” Mr. Abdulhadi adds.
Orbit PINOY PLUS is widely considered by the Filipino communities across the GCC as the leading PAY-TV entertainment service package.
Orbit launched the service in 2005 amidst the clamor of many Filipinos for better Filipino Pay TV content. The package currently includes fifteen (15) premium channels for only US$24 per month (in comparison to competition’s US$20 for four (4) channels). Auf GMA Life TV wirbt man mittlerweile schon offiziell dafür, dass man jetzt auch in Europa empfangbar ist: "GMA Life - Now in Europe"
- neue Trailer zeigen jetzt auch die Sendezeiten für Italien an (neben Japan & Saudi-Arabien).
