Digicorder S2 Jumper settings

Hallo,

ich probiere mit meine schlechtes Deutsch.

Die (3+ Jahre alt) S2 hat eine clump/click gemacht immer beim Startup. Es hört wie dem Festplatte (160GB). Ich hab es rausgemacht und eine neue eingebaut, aber der menu im S2 zeigt irgendwas wie "Festplatte fehlt oder nicht connected". Ich glaube es ist die Jumper settings.

Weisst jemand was ich brauche für eine Samsung 400GB Festplatte? Und, wo die Jumper ist? (wenn ich das nicht finde).

Here's how I would have written it in English.

My girlfriend's old 160GB Technisat Digicorder S2, which is at least 3 years old, today failed to start up. Each time it was switched on it made a click sound every few seconds, like it was failing to move the read heads on the hard drive. I found an IDE drive that I wasn't using, a Samsung 400GB one that runs at 7200 rpm. After installing it, the S2's menu complained that it either had no hard drive or it wasn't connected. After reading some of the threads in this forum, I guess it's the Jumper settings. I didn't find any links to a diagram showing what the Jumper settings are, I only found people saying "for a 1TB drive set it to 1&2". I know that 400GB is a weird size, I also have a 300GB drive I could use instead. If neither are possible, I'll get a new one from Amazon (if they still sell IDE drives).

Tell us more. What is the exact model number of your Samsung drive ?
Make sure, you use an low power model. Set the jumpers at the drive to "master".

It's already built into the S2, I'll take it apart as soon as she's stopped watching TV.

So, there are no jumpers on the motherboard then? Everyone in the threads I've been looking at were talking about the drive jumpers? I'll check that out as soon as I can. (It might be tomorrow).

Ahaaaaaa. Es war bei mir auch die Festplatte Jumper settings for "Master". Es ist sooooo lang seit ich IDE Festplatten benutz haben, ich habe ganz vergessen diese Master Jumper.
