Mein Beileid. Schade nette Truppe, haben uns mal eine 2,4m Antenne im Innenhof für Amos17 in Ismaning aufgebaut, war damlas sensationell.

Feedback on Kabelio module, with E2 Zgemma h9Twin running OpenAtv7 without ci+helper it works smoothly. Channels are opening in less than 2 seconds. No complaints really.

Why, should only be temporary, because BBC One shows the same thing during the day.

 

BBC News and BBC World News will be fused to one channel in 2023 so Kabelio can‘t keep BBC News cause the service will be discontinued.

 

To be fair it's not officially declared by Kabelio but I just assumed since there’s no TEST in the service name for months

Personally prefer other UK channels to be added instead of BBCNews or increase picture quality on BBC1 and BBC2 which I’ve noticed they’re more pixelated in action scenes than Itv, C4 and C5 and also in recordings it’s like that 60min of recording on BBC1&2 is 800mb size but on other three it’s over 1gb of size which is indicative.

But if none of these things I said happen, then happy with BBCNEWS as an additional channel

 

Dass BBC News (UK) dauerhaft bleibt, kann man mittlerweile ja ausschließen. Auch wenn Kabelio das will, wird die BBC den Sender mit BBC World News zusammenlegen.

Es ist allerdings schade, dass es bezüglich CNN Int. HD-Tausch nichts geworden ist:

Vor allem der Teil "wir bekommen einen Sender von denen zurück" wäre interessant gewesen.

 

Auf 28Ost hätte CNN HD verschlüsselt werden sollen, aber aufgrund des kompletten Versagens von CNN+ ist es nie dazu gekommen.

Hi Marty,
the bitrate is dynamic/variable. all British channels have the same setup, min-max bitrate criteria, apart bbc news it´s running with lower prio. If one service creates a bigger file, then it means it ewas more motion and therefore more bitrate given by the encoders. BBC News will stop soon, or it will be merged with BBC World News, therefore will be replace it with CNN HD by end of the Month. In the event CNN will be scrambled we will have to replace it again.

About the BBCNews merger, it should be said that though it's been announced by BBC but it’s not final yet as unions involved are against it and I think it all depends on how much pressure for cost cutting BBC will be under with next PM.
