Hi!

My English is much better than my German so I'm writing this in English.

Is there any way to change the font used for EPG? Right now I see a lot of
symbols instead of some Central European characters.

Is there a way to switch character encoding to Central European?

You can set your country and language in THC, but I think this does not effect the EPG font.

You may want to try DVBViewer, it uses unicode to display the EPG data. If the problem still exists, the EPG data of the program may be faulty.

Yes DVBViewer Pro does indeed show correct characters in EPG. I was hoping THC could somehow be forced to use unicode but it looks like there is no easy way to do it if at all.

I found out that you can select the desired EPG font in "skin.ini".

Example with Times New Roman instead of Tahoma:

Tnx I'll try it out. I think character encoding is the real issue though, but it's worth a shot.
