The Man Who Sued God

Comedy about a lawyer who takes on his maker in a court of law. Die US-Variante von DSDS heißt "American Idol" und läuft ab Freitag, den 19. Januar 2007 um 21.30 Uhr auf ITV 2 ...

Wird mehrfach wiederholt - Samstags z.B. auch auf ITV 1 ...

Immerhin wurde bei American Idol damals "Kelly Clarkson" entdeckt.

"The Transporter"

Actionkracher aus dem Jahr 2002

Lock, Stock's Jason Statham plays second fiddle to a battery of special effects in this brainless high voltage action thriller. He plays the cool criminal driver who's paid to transport cargo - human, or otherwise - with no questions asked. When he violates his code by looking in one of the "packages" and discovers a Chinese girl (Shu Qi), he's forced to go on the run from his employers and the police. Amid all the posturing macho extravagance (car chases, mega-explosive stunt work), there's also a bizarre oil wrestling sequence, and one extraordinary moment where Statham kisses his enemy underwater to steal his breath! Clearly, action is all that counts here and the plot (something about Chinese immigrants and the slave trade) seems the last thing on director Corey Yuen's mind.

Catherine Tate co-stars with David Tennant in a festive sci-fi special

Must-see sci-fi fun as David Tennant returns for his second festive outing as the time-bending traveller - but sadly without sidekick Billie Piper, who was parted from the Doctor at the end of the last series and is now moping around in a parallel universe. It's already been announced that Freema Agyeman will be taking her place as the Doctor's new companion, but that's not until the new series in April. For now - as anyone who saw the closing seconds of the last episode will know - the Doctor has yet another lady in tow, none other than comedienne Catherine Tate. She plays Donna, a bride-to-be who's running late for her wedding, and has somehow materialised on board the Tardis. This results in a race to get her to the church on time - but when the mysterious Empress of Racnoss (Cutting It's Sarah Parish) joins the chase, it becomes clear Donna is the key to an ancient alien plan to destroy the Earth

Bei "Five Days" ist das wirklich extrem. "Bei uns" kaum vorstellbar. Hier würde aber auch niemand einen Film 30min+ für "normale" Nachrichten
unterbrechen.
